In France: E460FP

In Russia: 18G2

3.What is the difference between EN10028-3 P460NH and P355NH?

Chemical Composition:

Carbon Content: The maximum carbon content of P460NH is 0.20%, and that of P355NH is 0.18%.

Other Elements: P460NH allows a maximum nickel content of 0.80% and a maximum copper content of 0.70%. The maximum nickel content of P355NH is 0.50%, and the maximum copper content is 0.30%. In addition, the nitrogen content in P460NH can be up to 0.025%, while that in P355NH is 0.012% at most.

Mechanical Properties:

Yield Strength: For plates with a thickness of ≤16 mm, the yield strength of P460NH is 460 MPa, and that of P355NH is 355 MPa. As the thickness increases, the yield strength of both materials decreases, but P460NH always has a higher yield strength than P355NH.

Tensile Strength: The tensile strength range of P460NH is 570 – 730 MPa (for thickness ≤16 mm), and that of P355NH is 490 – 630 MPa (for thickness ≤16 mm). P460NH has a higher tensile strength.

Elongation: The minimum elongation of P460NH is 17% (for thickness ≤16 mm), and that of P355NH is 22% (for thickness ≤16 mm). P355NH has better elongation performance.
