GNEE Steel Successfully Delivers 113.604 Tons of SA387 GR22 CL2 Pressure Vessel Steel Plates

Recently, GNEE Steel has completed the shipment of 113.604 tons of SA387 GR22 CL2 heat-resistant pressure vessel steel plates destined for the Russian market. Backed by sound steel mill production management, a full-process quality inspection system and standardized seaworthy packaging solutions, this order has been successfully fulfilled, further consolidating our market share and service reputation in the pressure vessel steel supply sector in Russia.
This order covers a total of 13 steel plates. All plates are delivered in N+T (normalizing and tempering) condition, manufactured in strict compliance with the international standard ASME SA387/SA387M-2017, and fully meet the stringent material requirements for boilers, pressure vessels and high-temperature petrochemical equipment in Russia.

1. Customized Specifications Tailored to Project Cutting Requirements

To match the actual assembly and cutting demands of the customer’s pressure vessel project, 4 differentiated size specifications are customized for this order, which can directly enter subsequent processing and effectively reduce the customer’s secondary cutting cost. The detailed supply scope is as follows:
  • 65×2000×7500mm: 7.654 tons theoretical weight per piece, 1 piece in total, totaling 7.654 tons
  • 65×1550×7500mm: 5.932 tons theoretical weight per piece, 2 pieces in total, totaling 11.864 tons
  • 75×1550×9300mm: 8.487 tons theoretical weight per piece, 4 pieces in total, totaling 33.948 tons
  • 95×1200×11200mm: 10.023 tons theoretical weight per piece, 6 pieces in total, totaling 60.138 tons

2. Full Traceability with Original Mill Test Certificate for Compliance and Quality Assurance

The entire batch of plates is produced at the original mill of Rizhao Steel Yingkou Medium Plate Co., Ltd., and is accompanied by an official sealed Mill Test Certificate (MTC) to enable full-process quality traceability.
The MTC records complete measured data of each batch, including heat number, batch number, chemical composition, mechanical properties, impact toughness and hardness test results. The flaw detection grade of the plates reaches Grade C, and all physical and chemical indicators satisfy the operation standards for equipment under high-temperature working conditions in Russia. Besides, each plate is spray-marked with the grade SA387 GR22 CL2, actual dimensions and origin on the surface.
Combined with on-site dimension recheck before delivery, we realize one-to-one correspondence of “certificate, goods and marking” from production off-line to final weighing, providing complete and compliant document support for the Russian customer’s customs clearance, incoming re-inspection and project archiving.

3. In-depth Customer Visit and Discussion to Lay a Solid Foundation for Long-term Cooperation

In the early stage of the order, representatives of the Russian customer paid a special visit to China and held in-depth face-to-face meetings with GNEE Steel’s business and technical teams.
The two sides had full exchanges on technical standards, delivery schedule, logistics solutions of this pressure vessel plate project, as well as follow-up long-term cooperation plans.

4. On-site Factory Audit with Full-process Verification, Production Strength Recognized by Customer

During the visit, accompanied by our team, the customer went deep into the production workshop of the cooperative steel mill to conduct on-site inspection of the whole production flow, including plate rolling, heat treatment, finishing and final inspection.
The customer observed the operation of the automated heavy plate rolling production line on site, checked core links such as rolling process, surface flatness, thickness tolerance and heat treatment appearance, and personally participated in sampling dimension inspection of finished plates to verify dimensional accuracy and surface quality on site. From the intelligence level of production equipment and the rigor of process control to the standardized finished product inspection system, the hard strength of the steel mill and its full-chain quality management system have been highly recognized by the customer on site.

5. Standardized Seaworthy Packaging for Ocean Transportation to Secure Reliable Delivery

Considering the long-distance ocean shipping environment between China and Russia, all steel plates in this order adopt seaworthy, moisture-proof and rust-proof marine packaging, with basic rust prevention treatment on the plate surface, which effectively avoids corrosion and scratch risks caused by high humidity and salt spray during sea transportation.
The order adopts FCA delivery terms. Leveraging the document issuing advantages of our Hong Kong entity, we streamline the customs clearance process at Russian ports, maximize cargo circulation efficiency, and ensure the goods are delivered to the customer’s plant intact and efficiently.
